Conversation this evening while my daughter was toodling with the calendar feature on her cell phone:

Me: Oh, what day is my birthday this year?
Daughter: On a Thursday.
Me: Gee, how old will I be this year??
Daughter: I dunno.
Me (to husband): Honey, how old will I be?
Husband: 45.
Me: 45?!?!??!?!?!??! I thought I was 45 already!! I’ve been telling everyone I’m 45 right now! Are you sure?!?!
Husband: Positive. You’re 44 right now, you’ll be 45 on your birthday.
Me: OMG!!! I’ll be a year younger this year!!
Husband: Well, they say that memory is the first to go.
:dunce:
Here’s one for you old timers. 😉

Life is never dull, and exciting things just seem to always happen to me... why me... when I'm not running around the house fixing things, I'm a freelance writer for national media outlets like USAToday.com, Salon.com, and others. I've even been interviewed by TIME and The Wall Street Journal about blogging. Can you believe it?! Here is where I express my zany, creative, motherly side.

I’ll never see 45 again unless it’s in some other’s face. 🙁 You, by contrast, get a “do over.” :teddy: How great is that? Make the most of it, rejoice and exceedingly glad.
Happy birthday.

I like blueyes comment. Hahaha!
I can never remember how old I am either-well, unless it is a milestone year that ends in a 0 or a 5.
