I never attended college after high school. Even back then, a college education was SO expensive. My parents couldn’t afford it, and my stepdad refused to use our biggest asset -the house- as collateral. After high school, I didn’t want to go to college, anyway. I greatly dislike the classroom atmosphere, and I’d had enough book learning at the time. The kast thing I wanted to do was saddle myself (and my family) with scads of debt while enduring class after class, to boot. Ugh. I really don’t know how kids do it today. The tuition for a college education is out of this world- a kid can be tens of thousands of dollars in debt before they turn 22 years old!
There was no such thing as online college back then. Hoh boy, how the times have changed! Not only is there online college — so all people from all walks of life have access to higher education- there’s affordable online college now! Specifically, Ashworth College. They are accredited AND afforable. Ashworth is one of the least expensive online colleges, in some cases up to 50 percent less. They have some exceptional programs, too, one of which is geared toward helping military personnel and their familes. The Post 9/11 GI Bill enables qualified military personnel to receive up to $13,500/36 months of education benefit. Sweet.
This is just another reason why I love the Internet. No more pencils, no more books! No more teacher’s dirty looks! LOL
If you have a hankering for higher education, do check out Ashworth College online. They have many programs and the cost is terrific!
