One more week til Thanksgiving! It’s our biggest holiday of the year for us. A whole bunch of turkeys will be there, YUK YUK YUK!!!
:ermm: OK. *ahem*
Well, I recently received a very cool Turkey Hat and bottle of soda from IZEA (all for FREE, I might add- the Turkey Hat is probably worth a fortune! Well, maybe it will be in 100 years). The kids absolutely LOVE the Turkey Hat. I even wore it around the house for a while. It’s quite warm! And rather fashionable this time of year! Maybe I should wear it to WalMart or Kohl’s- you never know- being the trendsetting gal that I am, I just may start a movement!
We decided to “review” the soda. It’s “The ORIGINAL Tofurkey & Gravy Soda” by Jones Soda Co., and it’s marketed as “a delicious vegetarian roast,” and as “soda you can chew on.”
We tried it. I’m always up to a challenge.
The girls disliked it.
I found it… interesting. It’s DEFINITELY soda you can chew on! It does taste like turkey and gravy. It does smell like it, too. I don’t know if I really want to DRINK my turkey and gravy, though. Jones Soda Co. sells the soda in a very cool gift pack, though. It includes other sodas (I’m really curious what the Vanilla Bean would taste like, yum!) and a TOTALLY cool vintage-looking lunchbox. But the Gravy soda.. ummmmmmm…. maybe give that away. To like, the evil stepmother or someone. Although. if you are a vegetarian and miss the turkey and gravy dinner, you might like the soda. But if you will drink the soda, why not just eat the meat and enjoy yourself, eh?
So, our consensus? We’d rather eat the meal than drink it.
But we LOVE the hat. Can you send more?

Sometimes texture is everything, which is why some foods simply do not translate well to other forms. Oh well, I suppose they had to try!

I LOVE THE HAT! Where the crud did you get it?! Do they sell it in Asia? LOL!

LOL You guys are brave! I don’t think I would be able to stomach that stuff!

Connie- yes texture is everything, lol! I give them kudos for trying.
Goop- I got the hat from IZEA, the company I work for. Isn’t it so cool?!
Renee- I didn’t even have to pay the kids to try it! Well, I did have to loan out my Turkey Hat for a while. It was an even trade.

That soda was absolutely DISGUSTING!!! With a capital D! I could only take one sip, and down the sink drain it goes! It tasted like gravy mixed with a TON of salt, a bunch of chemicals, and turkey pulp, all slightly carbonated.

Brickster: Thanks for the virtual taste! LOL
Why, oh why, did someone go to all the trouble to make a drink like that?! Ewww!
