Sorry, guys. My posts have been light and pretty boring for a week, I know. Last week I had a billion deadlines for some articles, then the flu came knocking at my door… well, it barged right in, actually. Most unwelcome. So that’s why I’ve been blogging about boring old Bluetooth and credit cards. *gag* I’m still in the recovery stages, but I must be starting to crawl back into the sunlight, because here I am again. I saw a post at Sparkle’s blog, and was much inspired. It was about search engine keywords.
Anyone who has a blog knows what I’m talking about- those often-funny and sometimes- weird phrases or keywords that people search which land them at your blog. I like reading these posts; and in the hopes that you do, too, I’ll try my hand at it.
(If that last paragraph made no sense at all, just disregard me. My mind is still pretty fuzzy. I had a HECK of a time remembering what day it was today).
So here are the keywords that people are searching and then… they find… ME… at the end of the rainbow!
body wax removal from floor
It tried to KILL ME!!
acne motorcycle helmets
That one made me do a double-take. You mean, helmets that have acne, or helmets that cause acne? And honestly- I’ve covered a lot of freaky topics over the years, but not this one! I did do a post on very cool motorcycle helmets, though.
cat eating ladybug, are ladybugs poisonous for cats
That would be my cat. I think they found what they were looking for. Ew. I get a lot of hits for searches related to ladybug-eating felines. I guess it’s more common that I thought.
By the way, my cat survived. She does start to buzzle every now and again, tho….
posh stops door stops
Haha! I did a post on both- posh moms AND door stops. The posh mom post got a lot of reactions, good and bad. It was one of my wild n’ crazy posts.

it’s worth repeating
No idea where that comes from.
house for sale freaky
LOL, what?
why do children always say, watch me
Gosh, get back to me if you find the answer. I’d like to know!
So that’s it. No, I mean- there are more keywords, but I’m outta steam now. Gonna go sip some tea and crawl back under my rock. Toodles!

Poor baby! Feel better soon! And if you … eh hem … SLOWED DOWN a little, maybe you wouldn’t be so apt to catch nasty things flying around.
And you have some rip-snortin’ key word searches. Come to think of it, so do I. It’s nice to know I’m not alone in weird stuff. Expect a similar post in the future, because I’m going to steal your idea.

Glad to hear you’ve turned a corner and are feeling better! The flu is hard to shake though - take it easy for a while yet and don’t overdo it just ’cause you’re feeling a little better! You’re in my prayers. :-) (((HUGS)))

How fun! I’m glad my post inspired you to do some of your own keyword searching. But doesn’t it kind of make you wonder just what type of folks are reading your blog? I mean, “house for sale freaky” - who in his/her right mind would search with that phrase? LOL!
Feel better!

And then there’s the competitor who puts your company name and words on his site so that searches for you also return his Website. That has actually happened.

“Fear of windows.” That is the second most searched term that lands people on my blog. The first is simply, “dove”. “Rash from mangoes” gets a lot of play, too.

Well, howdy, Quilly! Welcome to my humble bloggy abode. “Rash from mangoes.” Wow, now that’s ripe! LOL

Most people get to my site searching for “Whale ears”… which, of course, makes sense because of my title, but who knew that so many people search for that on the internet??
Hope you are feeling better!

Maybe you guys would write funny posts about the keyword searches? I love those kinds of posts! :D

Lol! Actually, I am impressed by the searches that lead people to my sight. One of the most popular is “Nate Saint saw angels before he died” or “Life magazine Operation Auca” and “inspiring story.” I am so excited that I get visitors from all over the world! It also excites me that the information I learned about Operation Auca (which was sometimes very difficult to find!) is being learned by people near and far through my blog! It is exciting. :D
