Are You Ready For the Squeakquel

Whoa. Alvin and the Chipmunks! They’ve been around a looooong time. Like, as long as Mr. Rogers and King Friday the 13th! I found an old Mr. Rogers Neighborhood video on the Internet last week. Can you believe my kids have never seen Mr. Rogers?! I am such a bad mom, I know-denying them such important aspects of our culture, tut tut!

The same goes with Alvin & the Chipmunks. They first came out on TV in the early 60s, before my time, but syndication exposed them to me as a kid. I loved their antics, and how they drove poor Dave bananas! My older kids remember seeing the chipmunks movies (we had a sing-a-long video, eons ago) but my youngest son has no memory of their songs. Not even the On Top of Spaghetti that we loved so much! Oh my word, I will have to show him what drivel amazing entertainment I saw as a kid. Then he will realize why I am so loopy.

As a kid, I ALWAYS wanted to talk like Alvin. But I was too afraid to breathe in the helium. :blink:

Well, at least I can dress him up. How does he look, huh? Kinda cute, don’t you think? 😀 Can you tell what he is saying? Do you like the bling I gave him?
