Ugh, summer. The humidity is cranked up SO high here in Upstate New York. Rarely do I feel sick, but today the humidity gave me a stomachache. And the bugs this year are big suckers. Literally. With one or two slurps, they can drain a cat of half his bodily fluids. :sik: My poor Fuzzy must have gotten stung by a wasp- his face is swollen. The poor kitty looks so pitiful. I tried to squirt some Benadryl down his throat… you know, they REALLY should make catnip-flavored medicine. If those kitty Temptations treats were laced with Benadryl, I’d be one of the happiest people in the world. I HATE stuffing medicine down the cats’ throats! Poor kitties!
Anyway, with tick and flea season in full tilt now, I’m keeping my eyes peeled for deals on pet supplies. Here’s a goodie that I have to share: Frontline is on sale for $100 or so at Buy.com. I’ve never seen it lower than $150 here. Buy.com also has loads of other pet supplies: toys, bedding, treats, etc. And guess what else they have? A FURminator! I’ve been wanting one for a while. It’s SO hot and sticky that Livvy’s cat fur sticks to my sweaty face when I pet her. *gag* I think I may cough up a hairball sometime soon, unless I take drastic measures. The small FURminator is just $40! 😀

sadly they just sell flea stuff which my dogs don’t have unless I take them to gramma’s or puppy jail so I preempt a strike and dose them before hand and 1 month after. The price of heartworm is insane and I usually buy mine from petsmegastore out of australia. Just wish I could get the interceptor shipped overseas so I buy the Heartguard and buy interceptor here and swap out every other month with interceptor since it kills one more worm than the Heartguard does.
