Ooo la la! The classy luxury HIlton Branson Convention Center in Branson, Missouri, is having another super convention, and this time it’s cooking classes and a Wine Tasting Reception. Now that autumn is creeping in, all our minds are once again turning to FOOD (at least, mine is- I love cooking in the fall!). So this is the perfect time to brush up on autumn recipes and learn new tips and techniques from the pros.
The Cooking School Weekend will be held on October 16th and 17th, with a wine testing reception at the start, followed by a class taught by Branson Hotel Chef Nathan Read. This will be followed by a bountiful four-course feast! The next day, guests will learn how the luscious appetizers and meals were created and prepared. It sounds sooo good. Nathan Read is a fantastic chef- I saw a video of him once, preparing Chilean Sea Bass and he flipped the food around like it was a piece of cake (no pun intended!). He’s been chief chef in Vancouver and Portland Hiltons, too, and people who eat his food love him. I’d just LOVE to try some of his specialties.
The Hilton Branson Convention Center luxury resorts are known for their incredible hospitality, and they are extremely affordable for family budgets, too. Branson is THE destination many outstanding entertainment and vacation packages- they have hosted some great conventions including the Kenneth Copeland Believers’ Conventions, Carman concerts, and many more really great Christian gatherings. I’ve seen photos of the complexes, and they are very impressive. Plus, Branson, Missouri, is the Midwest spot for museums, live entertainment, family festivals, and luxury golf courses and tournaments. It’s a classy place- and now they something for us gastronomists! 😉 Check out the site- this makes a great early Thanksgiving or Christmas present for that cooking freak in the family!
