Duct Tape Removes Warts

My two bits

Yes, it does. It is NO LONGER just an urban legend, people. We have experimented, and “Eureka!” (Archimedes); “Watson, come here, I want to see you!” (Alexander Graham Bell); “What hath God wrought?!” (Samuel Morse); ok ok you get the idea…

So my daughter has been plagued by a wart on her finger. That expensive wart remover stuff at the store does NOTHING. I mentioned to my daughter that I’d read on the Internet that duct tape works, so she decided to try it. Every day for the past two weeks, she has meticulously wrapped her finger in duct tape, just enough duct tape to fully cover the wart and adhere to her finger. And today… success! The blasted thing is gone!

The wart turned black after a week or so, and the skin softened up. But the duct tape finally conquered! And thus, another urban legend legend proved wrong. Ah, science is so liberating, lol…

Are you kidding?! My daughter has wart on her elbow that the doctor has “frozen” off twice now. If it comes back again (which it probably will), I’m going to have to have her try the duct tape, that is one use I’ve never heard of until now! :-D

Wow! I always wondered if that really worked.

That’s awesome! I had never heard of this; I guess it’s a bit like WD40 - it has a million uses we never thought of. Thank you.

I, too, had a wart recently. Of all places, my forehead! I couldn’t go the duct tape route because the location of the wart was so obvious. I’m glad it worked for her. What worked for me? Vitamin E! I would prick an E capsule and rub it directly on the wart and then band-aid it overnight. I would clean it the next morning and go without anything on it during the day. Each night, more E. It took about two weeks to disappear.

My son has a wart on his finger. I am going to have to try this!

Hi, I’m Tammy from http://www.momknowseverything.com. A private company I do paid posts for asked me to find some blogs that would be interested in doing a paid post for them. It’s about coupons, about 100 words, and they pay $10 thru paypal. Email if you are interested. Thanks, Tammy

Lynne & Stacie- I wish you well with your kids! It worked GREAT for mine!

Karen & Jan- I’d read about it on the Internet, and figured, “Well, why not?” Yeah, like WD-40. LOL!

Kathy- um, yyyyeaaaah, really bad place to slap on the duct tape. But WOW Vitamin E?! I’ll have to have my kids try that out for those “obvious areas.” Thanks for the tip!

Tammy- I sent you an email. Thanks!

I always knew duct tape was way more useful than people thought lol although super glue is the new choice now.

  9. Sher Says:

I’ve used this myself-and it worked great! I had a stubborn wart on my foot that would not go away with treatment. The duct tape worked-no more wart and it’s not come back!

I have to try this! I have a tiny wart on the same finger, hand and even the same spot as your daughter. It’s tiny but it hurts when I scrap with something. I tried the band aids from compound W and nothing. Thanks for sharing this ;-)

That method has been used at our house more than one time. It is not pretty, but sure is better than some of the icky alternatives. It does take persistence as well; people sometimes give up too quickly and then think it doesn’t work.

Wow…that is the first I heard of that. I have always heard the rubbing a pennie eventually dissolves the wart.
    I love learning new things:)
