For All You Hot Heads Out There

Woohoo! It’s almost Super Bowl day! That is one of the few things I miss about not having TV; I miss watching the Super Bowl. (Although, I do not miss seeing the commercials). And watching the Super Bowl is a great  excuse to pig out! Haha!

Here in New York State, chicken wings (Buffalo wings, as they are called elsewhere) are a local specialty. They are soooooo good. The best pizzeria down the street makes them with TABASCO® Original Red. I also think they add a little extra vinegar, but they won’t reveal how much. Wings are not too difficult to make yourself (and you save a ton of money doing so). I have only once tried the “medium” hot wings, though. Those are somewhat hot, but are really good. I cannot imagine how the hot & spicy ones taste. I may get brave and try them someday, but the local fire department will be standing by…

I have been perusing the TABASCO® Original Red website for recipes- they recommend sprinking a little of their sauce on top of pizza! Now that’s an idea! You can check out more ideas at Pizza Perfected. You hot heads will love some of the recipes. As I get older, I am more able to tolerate the hot stuff (I graduated to pepperoncini with salads!) but I don’t know if I could feast on the REALLY spicy stuff like the others can. I really don’t know how they do it and still exist. I would combust into tiny atomic drips if I ate some of that super spicy stuff. TABASCO® Original Red is tolerable because they add flavoring to it- salt, pepper, and yummy vinegar- instead of *just* atomic-level jalapenos or something. Yow.
