Get Some Freebies!

Frugal

I don’t know what it is- maybe because we are nearing the holidays, or because the lazy lull of summer is over? But I am finding an explosion of websites offering freebies. “Free” just so happens to be my favorite price; how about you?

The website is www.freecatcher.com. It’s well-organized. You can search for specific freebies by category, or browse through the home page for new alerts. Freecatcher lists free samples through the mail or through online, free trial offers, and other notifications of discounts. They also hosts some giveaways from time to time (right now, it’s the Magic Gripper can opener device).

I’m a geeky type of gal, so I have been checking out the “Computers” category. There are some good freebies there! No, not free computers (I wish!!), but stuff like books about computers, such as free manuals for Windows 7 and iMac. And there is a very intriguing article about an open source operating system for home theatres/PCs, called Element. Hmmm, looks VERY interesting.

You can also get loads of stuff for the home: baby formula samples, kids’ books, Pampers, skin moisturizers, a free bird watching kit, seeds, software programs- loads of stuff. All well-organized.

I know of some ladies who get most of their household items through freebies; they have managed to slice their grocery bill in half! But remember, when you sign up with companies to get freebies, you must forfeit information (such as, your mailing address and email address). I recommend that you create an email address only for freebies, in case a company sends you unsolicited email. That way, it won’t clog your personal email account.

Freecatcher is a great site! Frugal Hacks, check it out of you love free stuff. And, who doesn’t?!
