Good Gravy!

Have any of you ever heard the phrase “Good gravy!” Kind of like “Good heavens!” or “Good grief!” I never heard it EVER until my brother moved down south, and he says it. And now GAH! I say it. It’s kind of funny, in a “southern hospitality” kind of way. It’s also very funny for those of you who know that I can’t make good gravy (the REAL gravy) for anything. Mine always turns out lumpy and dumpy; so therefore, I rarely make it. But the family has a hankering for it, and well, yep, I guess that white meat DOES get a little dry. It’s kind of heart-breaking to watch them try to swallow that scratchy dry meat while I deprive them of their gravy… I’ve been buying the canned stuff the past year, but YUK that stuff tastes like melted plastic (and the price is like 14-carat gold).

Believe it or not, there is a cool gravy tips video and WEBSITE devoted to helping gravy wreckers me! It’s kind of like gravy school for the gravy-challenged, like me. I love it! Banish the bad gravy, girls! The video is good- it shows how you can make good gravy very simply with turkey drippings and Club House Gravy Mix.

There’s also a newsletter sign-up and contest entry page, if you are *really* into good gravy. Gravy oftentimes makes or breaks the meal. I always used to think that making good gravy was more an innate talent than good technique! But Club House gravy mix makes it so easy. And it’s not expensive at all!
