I’m a “Righty”

Blabber

I saw this quiz at Karen’s blog. She’s “Lefty.” I’m a “Righty.” We all do use both sides of the brain, but some people are more inclined to tilt one way or the other. I already knew what my results would be, but I wanted to see what the quiz said. It’s spot on, indeed!

You Are the Right Side of the Brain

You are a naturally creative and imaginative person. You have the mind of an artist. That’s very true. I majored in art in school, and I have always thrived in jobs where I was afforded creativity. KitchenGuttedMy husband is the exact opposite- he’s a math-oriented “Lefty,” and while we get along with each other most of the time, sometimes he cannot understand my projects. When we renovated the house, he was distressed about the “mess” of it all. He couldn’t see the big picture because he likes to see things in neat and precise detail every step of the way. But I could picture everything in my mind’s eye perfectly. I told him to hang in there, that I am “ze artiste” and it will all look beautiful when it is over… and it IS beautiful! The Hubs is glad the mess is all over, lol. Well, MOST of it.

Window2

You are inspired by the whole world around you, and you never hesitate to act on your inspirations. You are very spontaneous. I am very spontaneous. When I was in acting school, I disliked rehearsals because I preferred the “real thing.” And with blogging, I really dislike scheduling posts- I prefer to publish them all while I feel inspired! It’s not a very good way to blog, though. Some days I have little while other days I have multitudes of posts.

You are a true multitakser. You are always scanning and processing the world around you while you get other things done. That’s “multitasker,” lol. I’m also a spelling nazi. ;) Indeed, I’m always juggling many things at once and looking for more to do while I do it. I feel that I am losing my “edge” as I grow older, though. I tire quicker and sometimes I need to crash. When I crash, I usually crash hard!

You see the big picture like no one else. You have spot on intuition and a good memory. Sounds like me. Although the memory is becoming more sketchy. :| My husband relies on my “big picture” way of thinking. I have this habit of thinking “outside” the box. When I was younger, it used to get me in trouble (well, still does, sometimes!) because I seemed rebellious and quite the disestablishmentarist (woohoo, is that even a word?!). But I’m managed to reign it in by controlling my tongue! Anyway, when it comes to a project, especially one around the house, The Hubs usually asks me my opinion before starting. I do tend to see things a little differently. I think it just comes from me studying history and historical repercussions. It has trained my brain to think “historically.”

Thanks for giving me a link! I would be like your husband, upset with the mess. Remodeling is so worth it though because of how much better it looks when it’s done. Thanks again, for entering my giveaway!

I’m a righty and those characteristics seem to describe me pretty well, too.
