Freaky Frugalite

Hurry up and get out of the pink slippers and bathrobe!! (Well, MINE are pink. What color are yours? :D ) Kmart is having a Saturday with another Kmart Bluelight Day! And it’s for today only, August 15th, all day til they close. I’m going to go check it out today, when I get the car later this evening. Kmart is having a tremendous sale on patio furniture, and I am bound and determined to finally get something nice and comfortable. (We have a disgusting white plastic set that the kids and their pals have beat up; and the chairs are horribly uncomfortable).

It will be so cool to go to Kmart and experience another Bluelight Special! Such memories, such camaraderie! I remember those olden, golden days of the 70s- a horrible economy and even worse hair and clothing styles. Going to Kmart was one of the cheery times we had back then, when the pulsating disco music would momentarily cease its pounding through the PA system, and suddenly the clarion call, “Attention, Kmart shoppers!” would reverberate through the store. Women with children (men rarely shopped back then, those dark ages of the 70s) would race to the Kmart Bluelight, ready to scarf up deals and discounted items. Yes, it was the golden age mustard-yellow and avacado-green age of Carter Malaise, and Kmart just seemed to make it all better.
