…our dog. Daisy. She is the sweetest little beagle. But she stinks like all get out. And we wonder why, huh? ROFL!
She’s a little… rambunctious… when it rains. Actually, I’d made the mistake of giving her a dog chewie before a rainstorm. She just HAD to go out and bury the thing, rain or no rain. It took us about 2,3 hours to wash out all that mud! :S
Daisy is a beagle, and she does have an odor. I mentioned it to our vet, and he said beagles are just stinky dogs, and that we should bathe her with special odor-killing soap. But I am starting to wonder if bathing will really help solve Her Stinkiness’ problem… I went to a website called Dinovite and took a solutions center test for Daisy. The test is very cute, and quick and easy. According to the information I punched in, Daisy may be stinky and shedding so much because of some minor nutritional deficiences in her diet. (We feed her grain-based dog food, but she gets plenty of scraps including meats and vegetables). It’s nice to know that Daisy’s diet is pretty balanced and I don’t have to spend a fortune in supplements…. but Daisy is pretty old now (she’s 12) and I think she needs more particular care. The Dinovite site recommends “Carnoyum” for Daisy (it’s a common supplement suggestion for Beagles and other medium-sized dogs), which includes Omega-3 and Omega-6 fatty acids, amino acids, zinc, direct-fed microbials, digestive enzymes, antioxidants, and more. I never knew a dog’s diet was so complex!

hello I tried to get in contact with you through “contact me ” but kept getting errors. I read your cat-owners-i-need-your-help-for-my-kitty post, and we came home to find our 14yr old cat dead on our porch by what looks to be the same wound. Did you ever find out what happened to your cat. Thank you.
