I posted a few days ago that my new kitten, Livvy, lost a tooth. Livvy’s friend (and modeling mentor) Daisy the Curly Cat whispered to Livvy that perhaps if the tooth went under a pillow, the Tooth Fairy *wink wink* might leave Livvy a treat. Livvy seemed very agreeable to the idea, as she has never passed up any opportunity for a treat yet. But Livvy is a very smart cat for her age. She wondered how the Tooth Fairy could get past a wireless security system? Um, uh, I told her that the Tooth Fairy just has her ways…
So Livvy made her plans.
Livvy raced off to place her tooth under the pillow. MY pillow. It’s a good thing the tooth is small. I washed it so I wouldn’t feel ikky with a cat tooth under my head all night.
The next morning, Livvy scurried into my room, bumped me off the bed (the nerve!), and threw the pillow aside. There was a treat, just as Daisy the Curly Cat had said!
Livvy can’t read yet (still too young), so she asked me what was in this mysterious can!
A GIANT AMOUNT OF TUNA!
The smile it brought to her face warmed my heart. :D lol
Livvy was so excited about the Tooth Fairy that she started to wonder how much loot she would get if she started shedding more teeth. She started to think that if perhaps she could hurry the process- you know, bang head-first into walls to hasten the process- she could get the Tooth Fairy to bring more loot even faster, and more and more of it!
At this point, I had to stop Livvy before she went beserk. I had to explain that… the Tooth Fairy doesn’t bring loot- that I had put that tuna under the pillow. And I didn’t even make tuna, God did. The living God gives us richly all things to enjoy (1 Timothy 6:17).
Livvy is a very good cat; she understood, and she gave thanks to God for the tuna. And she gave thanks for Daisy, for giving Livvy the idea in the first place.
She also said a prayer for Harley, Daisy’s brother, who has been sick. Get well, Harley!
The End.

Hooray for you, Livvy! I am glad to see you got a very, very good reward for losing one of your bebbeh tooths. Too bad we only lose them once, right?
Thank you so much for thinking of Harley. We are always worried about him and his immune system.

I love it! Enjoy your tuna, Livvy!

I think that giant can of tuna must weigh more than Livvy! (I hope she really gets to have some of it! Sometimes if I need tuna for something I’ll let my cats drink the “tuna juice” that drains out. :-)

Whoops! got so involved finding out all about the special tooth fairy that I nearly forgot to drop my visiting card. Thank you for that information.

It happens to all of us, Rebecca, so don’t be offended by this, but as our children age, our nurturing instincts turn towards our animals. Have I mentioned my Sugee Woogee dog lately?
Cute story. Thanks.
And I’ll keep Harley in my prayers.

Thanks, Daisy.
It was a great idea for a fun post.
FeeFi, Karen, Cindy, and Jan- thanks for your yays! lol. Because Livvy is “teething” she’s a little grouchy and is eating more soft food.
Carole- we do the same thing, give our cats tuna juice. This can is so big that I’ll probably give them all spoonfuls of the meat, too.
akaGaGa- AGE?! Haha! Yeah, my kids got sick and tired of the cheek-pinching and cuddles, so we got a cat.

I love how expectant your cat looked in the tooth on the pillow photo…very adorable. I have two cats and enjoy cat tales.
And what a tremendous treat!

Hi. Livy must have adored the tuna present and now she´s wondering what to do to get another can
Atos is a tuna lover too, but his favorite is Whiskas sardine cans, he double miau when he sees those cans.
Good Monday.
