As many of you know, I sometimes write articles for this blog and my other blogs, for pay. It has enabled me to earn a living, whereas I would not be able to in any other capacity. Because of a back injury, I am laid up sometimes for long periods of time, but my fingers are still in very good, typing condition. So I work hard to promote my blogs and work very hard to write good articles. Unfortunately, this summer has been a bit of a let-down, as I haven’t been making as much as I’d hoped. I’m still having a blast blogging, don’t misunderstand me! I love writing! I just wish I earned more money from it. :D
Even though I’m not raking in the cash, I’m doing other things to promote my blogs- making new templates load quickly, building social networks, etc. And some very dear friends have been using StumbleUpon for articles I’ve written that they like, which increases traffic for me. It’s been a TERRIFIC blessing.
So it makes me very, very happy when my blogs are read, and when they are read by many people. I am so happy to see my blogs rising in the ranks at IZEA Ranks. Today I checked my stats, and look what I found!!!
My travel blog is number one in Travel!
My home and garden blog is number one in Real Estate!
This little mommy blog is number three in Family!
And I am maintaining a number 43 in the Top 100 blogs at IZEA! Woweeee!
Now, if I can JUST figure out a way to translate those stats into cashola.. lol.
I really appreciate you reading my blog- reading and commenting on my articles, dropping your Entrecard, emailing me information and encouraging words. I love you very much. I am so very blessed to know you and I am greatly enriched as a person to have you as friends. God bless you all!!!!!

Hah, my blog’s so cool that it shuns any sort of ranking. Obscurity, my friend, is cool-o!
Seriously, congratulations. Ever thought about freelance? I’m a public relations guy by trade and know there’s always a market for good freelancers. If that’s true in Arkansas, it’s true where you are.
You write very well. Why not give it a shot? You can work at home, make some extra money and etc.

Julia, like I said on your blog, I think you are an incredible writer!!
Hey Hawg- I’ve thought about freelance, but don’t know where to go to start. I’ll have to do some searching around.
Mommy&MeB: thanks for your encouragement! :D

Hi Rebecca,
I love your blogs. Congratulations on the great rankings at Izea! You do have a flair for writing and see if you can find some WAHM boards. They usually have sites that are legit places to find jobs like freelance writing and much more.
I quit Ebay recently and just started my blogs a couple months ago. I’m very proud to say my ranking on my TMR blog is down to a 541! I just started back on June 20th. I do love reading them, and good luck. I know you will keep doing great.

Well, starting down that freelancing path can be easy enough. Figure out what you know and find some local publications that focus on that.
For example, I made some great money for a time doing freelance articles for a trucking magazine. I wrote about trucking extensively as a business reporter, so I had the skills to land a couple of gigs. You can make a few hundred bucks here and there that way.
Give it a shot! You’re a good writer, so find a way to market that skill.
Just stay away from real estate in Arkansas. That one’s all mine ;)

Rebecca:
Congrats on your achievement!!! That is awesome. I’m not at all surprised though because you definitely have a gift with your writing skills. I agree with The Hawg that you could really be successful with freelancing. Good luck!

congratulations to you! Just like you I am earning my living by blogging, maintaining quite a number of blogs and it’s not easy. Although it helps a lot that we love to write. :D
I’m excited to receive the 100 bucks from payu2blog. I read from their blog that we are both recipients of their raffle draw. I wonder who won the badminton game. :D
God bless you more and happy blogging. I always drop three of my blogs EC here every single day. Take care!
