This week is short and sweet. I’m busy as all get-out and the cat has got it in her head at this minute to go tearing around the house, and looks like I have to do some damage control…..

1. What is on your bedside table?
Box of Kleenex, iPhone charger, iPad, iPad stand. I like to play Words With Friends before I go to bed.
2. Hardback, Paperback or E-Reader?
I REALLY like reading books with the Kindle on iPad. The fonts are so big and clear, lots of light, etc. But books are SO EXPENSIVE that I only have precious few. Why are e-books so expensive?! Seems weird that many e-books are twice the price of hard copies.
Second choice is hardback. I can’t stand paperback, even though that’s what most of my books are. They don’t last very long.
3. What is your ‘go to’ drink of choice?
What is a “go to” drink? A favorite? If so, coffee is best, followed by ice water. Mmmmmm.
You know what I always say…..
4. How do you like to spend your birthday?
I like to spend it with a day free of chores, then a nice night out at a restaurant. After celebrating, I like to come home to a room stuffed with presents and balloons.
*wakes up from dream*
Oh yeah. Um, I like to spend my birthday working that day, cooking dinner, and having a quiet meal with family. Mhmm.
5. Finish this sentence - I would never be caught dead in …
Uh…
*draws blank*
:thinky:
Hell? Cuz there aren’t no way, no how I’m going there.

Here is where I express my zany, creative, motherly side. Read more

Y’ever check out Books on the Knob? They list lots of free or very discounted e-books, usually from Amazon but also B&N and others. Here’s a link to the current freebies: http://blog.booksontheknob.org/p/kindle-free-reads-list.html A lot of Christian titles are often on the list, even cookbooks sometimes. You just have to wade through the list a little bit.

I’ve been finding some really good books for $2.99 on my Kindle. I guess it depends on what you are looking for, I guess. I love my Kindle too.
Words with Friends, not so much. I’m not so good at that!

Almost all of my kindle books are free… or cheap… as long as you’re not looking for the latest reads, you can find lots of great freebies by going to amazon.com and clicking on kindle e books and then the top 100 list - and there are top 100 freebies - once you are in the top 20 freebies of the general list, go to the sidebar and click on the genre you want to read and then you’ll get the top 100 of those books that are free…
I check a few times a week because the list is constantly changing!

If you have an Amazon Prime acct you get a ton of books free to read. I just don’t have a Kindle accessible portable thing to use it for. Once I buy my Playbook I’ll have the Kindle app on that because buying another e-reader would be stupid lol I also get a ton of free books from Barnes and Nobles for my NookColor too. Free Fridays and such. First books in a series they promote are like 99 cents but I have noticed that e-books are more expensive sometimes but I can’t bring myself to buy Hardback books anymore since I don’t have anywhere to put them.
