Meteor in Canada; Planets Converge

December 2, 2008

Freaky

This video was posted on Kim Komando’s site today. It’s of a meteor, smashing into the Earth’s atmosphere at Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. It happened November 20th, two weeks ago. It created an amazing glow. A police car camera actually caught this on tape! Cool! Watch and see.

In other astronomy news, there’s an amazing converging of the moon, Jupiter, and Venus this week. The big show was last night. They are so beautiful, shining like glimmering diamond rings.

converge

This converging won’t happen again until 2052. I probably won’t be here for that, lol. Venus and Jupiter are going to come back into this position in 2011 and 2012, but without the moon. Amazing! You can read more about that here.

My hubby and I saw the moon/Jupiter/Venus alignment last night-very cool! Doubt we’ll be around for it again either, LOL.
