How is your Memorial Day holiday turning out? Mine has been quiet but extremely busy. We’ve been working right along, tilling the garden, doing school, etc. I wasn’t sure I’d be able to get this meme done today, but I have a few minutes to myself!

1. Finish this sentence - The thing I dislike most about shopping is….
EVERYTHING. The traffic, the pushing of the cart, hauling the chow, the checkout, standing in line, paying for it all, stuffing it in my car, driving through the traffic again…. a very distasteful job.
2. What is your favorite flavor of jello?
I haven’t had jello in years. I don’t like it. Probably raspberry, if I recall correctly.
3. If you could trade places with anyone in the world for one day who would you be and why?
My answers are so boring this week, and I fear here’s another boring answer: I can’t think of anyone. ….? I try to think of some amazing historical person and what floods my mind is how tough life was back then. I figure their lives, for all the glamour that surrounds it now, was probably as hectic and average as my own life is. So much for a creative answer!
4. Who changes the lightbulbs at your house?
My husband or my son, who clocks in at 6’1″.:) He’s pretty handy.
And that question reminds me of a joke. It’s a blond joke so don’t be offended. I know all blonds aren’t dumb. But then again, a healthy number ARE dumb, else why would they have dumb blond jokes?
KIDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OK OK the joke. By now you are probably seething and don’t want to read it. OK, then the brunettes and redheads can read it (but look out, we’re fair game, too).
How many blonds does it take to change a lightbulb?
Ten. One to hold the bulb and nine to turn the house around.
OK OK I stop now. 😐
It’s time for my question to you:
What are you wearing right now?
Have a good week, friends!

Life is never dull, and exciting things just seem to always happen to me... why me... when I'm not running around the house fixing things, I'm a freelance writer for national media outlets like USAToday.com, Salon.com, and others. I've even been interviewed by TIME and The Wall Street Journal about blogging. Can you believe it?! Here is where I express my zany, creative, motherly side.

Shorts & tee shirt with no shoes or socks. 🙂
Ten blondes tried that. It didn’t work. 🙁
After a few hours thought they had the answer. :teddy:
The one holding the bulb was turning with the house. :dunce:
They are still working on a solution. :banghead:
