Today REALLY feels like a Monday. I’m tired, dragging my feet… not even my daughter’s super-high-powered-nuclear-explosion coffee is helping. Bleh.
At least the Heat Wave #3 of the Summer has passed! There’s a pleasant breeze blowing in through OUR NEW WINDOWS!!!! It smells of pine. Ahhhhh. Livvy the Tabby-point Siamese Cat is snuggled up beside me in her “cupcake” cat tier.
Since it’s Monday, I’m participating in the Monday Quiz About Me meme. It’s fun! Join up if you want.

1. What are two must haves when you go on a road trip?
My iPhone and a few dollars in cash. Because I run a travel blog, every road trip we take has “blogging possibilities” so I try to be prepared. I used to bring my huge DSLR camera, lenses, extra batteries, and memory cards all in a huge, heavy case which was very tough to haul on long walks or through cities. The newer iPhone has a great camera and a video camera, too, so all I have to bring is that! I can watermark and upload my photos directly to Flickr so I don’t have to worry about scads of memory cards. It’s a huge, huge relief. The cash is for tolls that we may use as we travel.
2. What is your favorite amusement park ride?
I haven’t been to an amusement park in DECADES, although Coney Island invited me to review theirs this summer. Honestly, I’m not into the rides anymore… I guess a safe answer would be the carousel ride. :-p
3. Post favorite picture from the last six months?
Tough choice!!! Can I post two?
This is of my baby, my Tabby Point Siamese, Livvy. Isn’t she adorable?!
This is a photo of one of the galleries at The Cloisters, a reconstructed 12th century abbey in upper Manhattan. I love visiting it. The place is so cool and restive.

4. What do you (did you) call your grandparents? If you are a grandparent what do your grandchildren call you?
Grandma and Grandpa.
Now I get to ask you a question!
What size shoe do you wear?
When I was in high school, I had small feet. I wore a size 6. Now, after having 4 kids and sitting at a desk all day, my feet are 3 sizes larger!

Life is never dull, and exciting things just seem to always happen to me... why me... when I'm not running around the house fixing things, I'm a freelance writer for national media outlets like USAToday.com, Salon.com, and others. I've even been interviewed by TIME and The Wall Street Journal about blogging. Can you believe it?! Here is where I express my zany, creative, motherly side.

I think I may have read the first question wrong when I answered mine. Two things that are a must to bring? Definitely my Blackberry and of course my wallet. Can’t do much with out money.
Size shoe: 9 - 9 1/2 depending on the brand.

I let hubby carry the money so I don`t worry about the tolls and you have a few of them in the States. They are not very common in Canada.
My shoe size is 8and a half and I don`t have many high heels any more.

Adorable cat! I’ve never seen one like her before, beautiful colors and patterns!!
Depending on the shoe itself, I range from a 9-10.

I used to wear a 6 1/2 for the longest time but am now up to a 7 1/2. Great picture of your beautiful cat!
