I slacked off Sunday night, watching NOVA videos (ancient Viking metallurgy and Gothic cathedral architecture — very good documentaries!) and chilling on the couch with the cat. It felt so good to do nothing for a few hours. Mmmmmmm.
To cap off a nice night, I’m doing the Monday meme this week. Gee, who knows — maybe I’ll get some of the other memes done, too! I’ve had very few ideas for blogging lately. This happens when I’m going through a very busy time. Memes come in very handy.
Monday’s meme is brought to you by :
1. What is your favorite thing about November?
I like cozy days and nights at home. I like cinnamon candles. I like turkey roasting in the oven.
2. What was the last thing that you bought that you regretted soon afterwards?
Gosh. I’m trying to think of something I bought recently…. maybe hotel reservations in NYC, because Hurricane Sandy came the same day that I was supposed to be there. I had to go through the hoops and hurdles of cancelling, and even though the hotel was really nice about it, they did charge my card already and I’ll have to wait til next month for a refund. :-p
3. What is your go to snack food?
I don’t know. I have so many eclectic likes, it really depends on when, where, what. I like healthier foods, like popcorn in olive oil, or mozzarella cheese, or broccoli florets.
4. Do you believe that newspapers should charge for their online content?
Newspapers can do whatever they want. It’s a free market. I just won’t be buying any.
Now it’s my turn to ask you a question!
Do you prefer bottled water or tap water? Why?
Have a great week and I’ll be visiting your blogs soon!

Life is never dull, and exciting things just seem to always happen to me... why me... when I'm not running around the house fixing things, I'm a freelance writer for national media outlets like USAToday.com, Salon.com, and others. I've even been interviewed by TIME and The Wall Street Journal about blogging. Can you believe it?! Here is where I express my zany, creative, motherly side.

Cute meme- I mostly choose to not do them, but this one is personal at least. Tap water for sure. Bottled water is one of the biggest scams of the 20th century.

Tap water. We actually have some thermos bottles that can be hot or cold and we fill them with ice when we go hiking or driving.

Tap water, because it is less expensive.

I prefer Tap water-more convenient, don’t have to carry it home.
The last thing I bought that I regretted was strawberry shortcake gum-way too sweet, yuck! I’m now back to my spearment.

Tap water - there’s too much plastic in landfills without the water bottles.

Water depends on where I am at. I am fine with tap water even have a washable water bottle to fill up for trips out. When visiting my sister though (she has well water) I have to go the bottled route. Something in the water out there messes with my system. Though they have a filter system now that helps.

I enjoy bottled water when I am at work or away from home, but keep a large bottle of refrigerated tap water to drink from at home.

I have a water filter on my fridge, so that’s what we drink. I only buy bottled water when there’s a hurricane in the vicinity, otherwise it’s an expense I can do without.

For me it’s tap water from my own well that’s gone through the RO filter. I have more confidence in it than bottled water, which comes from a different (unknown) well and then is bottled and trucked to a store.

We used to buy bottled water because we have a well and even with the filter we didn’t know if it was 100% clear of icky stuff. So now we use a Brita Pitcher and 2 Brita Ultramax Dispensers. I use the pitcher on the counter for coffee and tea, one of the dispensers is on the counter because my hubby doesn’t drink cold water, and the other dispenser is in the fridge for me and my son.

Tap Water because it is cheaper! Thanks for participating in the MQAM. Hope to see you again next week.

I really don’t have a preference. Since the bottled water industry isn’t regulated I always wonder if it’s just someone else’s tap water. I usually use tap water, but filter it in my Zero Water filter 🙂

Bottled, tap water, makes no nevermind to me. Cold or warm. I do have a pitcher I keep in the fridge to keep some cold though as I fill my water bottle up before I go to the gym. I like my water cold while working out.

I drink tap water. I think bottled water is a gimmick.

Wow this is a popular meme, look at all the comments!!
I have always drank tap water since I was little. I do like some bottle water, Dasani, Poland Springs, Nirvana and Fiji are good. I will drink whatever is available, chlorine and all LOL. 😯
