Things are going to be a tad wonky around my sites for a bit. I discovered that all my blogs had been hacked in some way. Don’t worry, you were never in danger- the hack was a code injection. Somebody spewed nasty links (hidden and encrypted) throughout my files, so all my blogs were transmitting “linky juice” to these sites. Needless to say I was appalled. I think the culprit was an evil plugin from an “advertiser” and a possible vulnerability with my blog theme. I’ll have MUCH more on that later.
So I’ll be quite preoccupied with rebuilding my sites. Everything is clean, but I am a bit obsessive and have decided to wipe everything out and start with new, clean installations. I’ll restore the old posts and comments and the like, but it’ll all be running on a totally clean new server and a clean new WordPress installation.
The websites will be down for a few hours when I finally make the final transition (probably later this week). I apologize for the inconvenience. I’d appreciate your prayers, it’s been a trying time. Thanks.

Life is never dull, and exciting things just seem to always happen to me... why me... when I'm not running around the house fixing things, I'm a freelance writer for national media outlets like USAToday.com, Salon.com, and others. I've even been interviewed by TIME and The Wall Street Journal about blogging. Can you believe it?! Here is where I express my zany, creative, motherly side.

Been there done that when I installed the picture plugin that was offered via fantastico and it was inundated with horrid links. I had to nitpick through the entire site to delete it all after deleting the installation of it and hence no more pic page now.

I had that happen a while ago with a site I manage. It was frustrating, as you know! I finally did exactly what you’re doing - a clean install, and it’s worked fine since.
It was my first time using WordPress, and I was certainly doubting what I’d been hearing practically everyone say about how much better WordPress is than Blogger or any other blogging platform. I never had such problems before!
