I have lost count. I just LOVE starting new blogs. Obviously, duh, lol. I have had some trouble keeping track of them, I guess. I think I have 14, 15 now?!
You see, WordPress blogging software recently updated to 3.0, so I decided to bite the bullet, back up my entire database, and do the upgrade for every single blog that I have. It went very well. However, I discovered blogs that I’d COMPLETELY forgotten about!
One of them is Cranky Yankee Workshop. I started it to test out practically-free web hosting with Nexx, after I did an ad for them. Nexx is pretty cool; it’s a good deal (I got the domain name and the hosting for $10 for the year). The kids really latched on to the title (it’s a spin on Norm Abrams from This Old House, as well as a take-off on some YouTube guy in a flannel shirt who calls himself the Cranky Yankee, and mimics Norm’s Massachussetts accent). They want to make the blog into a “vlog” (video blog) with kooky “home improvement” skits and such. Well, LIFE happened and we started a home improvement project for real… it’s kinda swallowed up our lives this summer, and so all the new blogs I’d started were shelved.
Well, while I updated WordPress, I decided to write a post at Cranky Yankee Workshop. Go check it out, if you wish. It was kind of fun, writing it. Should I keep it up, or let the blog fade?

I really like the Cranky Yankee Workshop! I say that if you have enough to be cranky about, you should keep it! :D The other aspect, however, is that you do have the New York Renovator, and maybe you could just post double as many posts on there? Just sayin’…

Wow, 14-15 blogs! How can you possibly keep up and promote all those. It is fun starting new blogs though. I just started a new book blog that I am very excited about. It’s really fun connecting up with so many other book lovers! Off to check your cranky Yankee blog.

I’m totally with the idea to make it a kooky vlog!!! I love the videos you make. They are hysterical!! Please do it!!
I just read Jay’s comment… there’s another option. You could put your kooky videos on the New York Renovator. At least it would be a little easier to keep up with the one blog by just adding a few more posts with videos. Whatever you do… please make the kooky videos!
