… is another man’s treasure, the saying goes.
As I’ve said, I’m doing a TON of stuff around here- cleaning up, painting, organizing, etc. A certain someone in the family took one look around at all the junk valuable items we have around here and suggested that we have a garage sale. Hmmm… I think I tried that a few years ago, and I made a whopping $75 after a week. Hey, I know, at least it’s something, it’s $75 I didn’t have previously, but… it was a lot of work for so little return, I thought.
But then again, I never advertised, never did anything like that. If I ever have another garage sale, I think I will have to advertise if I’m going to see any action. I have a lot of nice stuff, too- an old Playstation console in excellent condition, some computer printers, loads of clothes, and assorted collectibles…
I do know that if I have a garage sale (or yard sale, as we sometimes call it around here), I’m listing the big event at a very cool website called GarageSaleTracker.com. Very cool! This website allows you to list your garage or yard sale- kind of like an online classified ad. It’s free to list your sale, for a limited time! GarageSaleTracker.com also has some nifty stuff about having garage sales- advice, how to get the most buck for your time, tips and tools, and an article about making garage sale hosting a possible second job! And you can also find garage sales near you by searching their database!
Personally, I’m amazed at how lucrative garage sale-ing can be (and how many great deals you can find by garage sale-ing). Check out the site! I’m sure you’ll learn a think or two about buying and selling at garage/yard sales. Very cool!

Yard sales, garage sales, estate sales, flea markets! ‘Tis the season and I love them all. You can find some real treasures and unusual pieces. I also love the art of bargaining. Have a great time!

hmmm…the site is giving me a network error.
We have a huge neighborhood garage sale in three weeks. I hope it doesn’t rain. That’s the worst. But we always have fun since there’s so many folks doing it together.
