I like helping other people, especially in areas that I have some proficiency in. I’ve been called upon lately to help various people fix all sorts of problems- everything from blog database repair to switching web hosts/blog databases to installing firewalls, etc etc.
But one of my pals has a virus.
The SmitFraud virus. It’s basically taken over his browser, crashing his computer as well.
The other problem is that he lives in Virginia. Ten hours away.
I could STRANGLE those virus creators right about now. GRRRRRRRRRRRRR! Do they have ANY IDEA how much TIME this is going to take to fix?!?! And I have to do it all long distance!!!!
*seething*
So I’ve been doing research on how to get rid of this virus. If anyone has a link to an easy one-size-fits-all tutorial, I’d love to know. I’ve never had a virus on my computer (whew) and removing one is new to me. I once got the Sasser worm on a new laptop, but I reformatted the thing right away…. so virus removal (without killing the computer) is new to me.
