Photo Contest With Big Prizes

I participate in the Saturday Photo Hunters blog meme. It is a fantastic way to meet people from all over the world, and to get a spectacular eyeful of the amazing photos that so many of you take. I am stunned at the photography skills of some of these “amateur” bloggers, wow! These folks could make big bucks, I think.

So here’s a chance for you to make some big bucks! It’s the Competico’s Winter Holiday Photo Contest 2009, and the big prize is up to $50,000 cash! Competico is the leading online photo competition website in the world

The contest is easy to enter, easy to do, but there are a few things you need to keep in mind:

• The entrance fee is $100. You can submit one photo per entry… ALTHOUGH there’s a special going on right now: if you enter the contest before 9pm on December 17th, 2009, you can submit TWO photos for the price of one.
• This is a holiday photo competition, so you submit a holiday photo. It can be if you having fun, etc etc, and not necessarily a Nativity scene or anything. See the website for more details and the official rules and regulations.
• Photos must be submitted by January 12, 2010, by 9pm.
• After January 12, 2010, when all photos have been submitted, the voting begins! It’s a viral vote- which means you invite your admirers, friends, family, and other Competico players to vote for your photo! Winners are chosen based on the votes by other Competico players and votes from the official Judging Panel. Again, see the website for details.
• Winners are announced January 15, 2010!
• Prizes are based on Total Cash Prizes, which range from $1500 to up to $50,000.
  

  1st Place Photo Prize Winner = 60% of Total Cash Prize
  2nd Place Photo Prize Winner = 25% of Total Cash Prize
  3rd Place Photo Prize Winner = 15% of Total Cash Prize

Photography contests are stiff competition, I think. But if you have what it takes, you can really make a LOT of money and get noticed. And I know definitely that there are many bloggers out there who do have what it takes- I’ve seen your stuff!
