Blabber

I download Firefox 4. Meh. It’s OK. I immediately changed the appearance to make it look just like the Firefox 3.whatever version I had previously. I was disappointed that my blog reader, NewsFox, is no longer compatible, not to mention my Tab Mix Lite, TinyURL Generator and Customize Google no longer work. Wah. Oh well, at least I found a nice addon called Sage that looks to be a nice blog reader.

One creepy thing about Firefox 4 is the new “loady” icon. You know- when the page is loading and there’s an animated circle with a dot that spins around until the page has finished loading? It looks JUST like the floater I have in my eye. It’s so creepy. A little disconcerting, actually. I don’t like that floater as it severely interferes with my vision. The experts say it will eventually drop to the bottom of my eye in about a year. A year?! No way! Lord, thank you for new eyeballs. :)

I like the word “snarky.” I don’t like snarkiness, per se, unless it’s in good humor. And I hate it when I am the bad kind of snarky, because I don’t think that’s who God made me to be. But the word itself, snarky, is a funny work. It must be the combination of “nar” and the “kee.” They sound peculiar together. Yeah, I’m weird with words like that. :)

When my daughter went to the oral surgeon last week, a lot of the nurses were wearing those really pretty scrub clothes that I’ve seen online on the discount medical uniforms websites. One nurse wore bright purple and she had pink gloves! Another nurse was more sedate in maroon color scrubs. I told them they looked great. I think happy, colorful uniforms really make patients a bit more comfortable (they do me, anyway!). The doctor, however, wore his somber and serious white lab coat. I think those nurses need to work on him a little, get him some polka dot doctors scrubs or something. ;)

My son discovered something funny in the Bible the other day. He was reading from the Acts of the Apostles, the part where God tells Philip to run and catch up with a chariot, to preach the gospel to the Ethiopian servant inside. *pant pant pant*

My son looked up the meaning of the name Philip, and you know what it means?

Fond of horses.

ROFL. God has a sense of humor, eh?

Oh my goodness, Lin, I’ve been a chatterbox this week. The post where I talked about her surgery is waaay at the bottom of the blog already! You can read the details here: http://freakyfrugalite.com/still-on-planet-earth/

THANKS for your cheery support. :) XOXOX

I think snarky is a pretty cool word too.

The Ethiopian was reading while riding in that chariot. For that reason, I suspect that it wasn’t traveling at “expressway speed.”

Snarky certainly sounds cool. Do you suppose it requires a solid relationship before snarkiness can be used in good humor?

Doctors are interesting. I enjoy watching them and observing their mannerisms and persona.

Hee hee, yes Chuck, I know the chariot was going *rather* slow because the eunuch was reading. But the kids once saw a children’s puppet show that showed Philip (well, he was a stuffed bear) running, and then chasing, after a Ben-Hur-speed chariot. It was funny; I guess it stuck in the kids’ heads.

Either way, the meaning of the name Philip is strangely apropos. LOL.
