Tourist season around here starts in another month. Woohoo! My kids have always loved dressing up in Children’s Costumes, even into their teenage years. We are really, really hoping to make it to the Renaissance Fair this summer. There’s a huge festival every year in Sterling, New York. I remember wanting to go, as a kid, but we never got to go. It would only be SO fun to dress the part.
You can find scads and scads of Costume Stores | Children’s Costumes | Plus Size Costumes with every conceivable costume, prop, and party decoration accessory. I saw some cute “hard to find” costumes, too. Prices are very reasonable. I figure, if you’re going to go to a re-enactment celebration, why not dress up?? 😀

Life is never dull, and exciting things just seem to always happen to me... why me... when I'm not running around the house fixing things, I'm a freelance writer for national media outlets like USAToday.com, Salon.com, and others. I've even been interviewed by TIME and The Wall Street Journal about blogging. Can you believe it?! Here is where I express my zany, creative, motherly side.

We only saw one reenactment but it was so much fun. It was only adults but many were on horses having a battle; great stuff :).
