In case you didn’t know, WAHM is an acronym for Work At Home Mom. I love- just love- working at home. I never ever thought it possible, but here it is! I hope it lasts forever, because I just love my jobs (pro-blogging and writing freelance). The work is sometimes a little overwhelming, but I do love it. And it’s been a blessing to be able to pay some bills and have dreams again of renovating the house!
But look who’s jealous!
Isn’t she bad?? lol That’s what she does. She wants to go outside or wants some attention- she clambers up to the desk and plunks her Siamese butt right on my work. Sheesh. Worse still, she keeps touching the monitor with her sticky, wet nose. YUKKK!! :hmph: My monitor has all these nose prints, and they drive me nuts as I try to type the articles. She won’t stop it, though, even when I tap her on her back to quit it.
BAD. :rollpin:
But I love her. How can you not love this cute pookie face?!

Life is never dull, and exciting things just seem to always happen to me... why me... when I'm not running around the house fixing things, I'm a freelance writer for national media outlets like USAToday.com, Salon.com, and others. I've even been interviewed by TIME and The Wall Street Journal about blogging. Can you believe it?! Here is where I express my zany, creative, motherly side.

Hi Jeannie! Thanks for your warm welcome! 😀

Our Midnight does that to me. Sometimes he’s fascinated by what’s on the screen. Sometimes he just wants some attention. Your kitty (Livvy?) has the cutest nose.

Livvy is only mildly interested in the mouse cursor or screen display. What she REALLY wants is to nag me, so that I’ll take her outside. lol, but yes she DOES have SUCH a cute nose, doesn’t she??

Silly, she’s just checking your work! You should be glad she’s so thorough that she gets nose prints on your computer screen. It means she is VERY exacting.
You are a WAHM - well, she is a WAHK (work-at-home-kitty).

“I iz your desktop, Mama! Why you pay attention to other things when I am more important? Why?”

She is too cute! My cat likes to walk across my drafting table when I am painting! I’ll trade you the nose prints for the cat hair in wet paint! lol
Stopping by from SITS! Welcome.
Cheers

Such a cutie! Hard to resist! My cat tries to get on top of my desk but I won’t let him. Allergies

I love working from home too! I spent 5 weeks driving in for a training and I have to tell you, you really don’t realize how much it costs to commute until you haven’t done it for a while! It’s so nice not to have the expenses involved with driving to and from work, being able to eat at home and, on days when I don’t feel well, still being able to get the job done without anyone having to see how bad I look!
As for our little furry friends, they’d be way more upset if we weren’t physically at home, but they still have to beg for our attention (and get it too!)

Hello Rebecca,
It´s good to learn you´re reaching your objectives. I wish I could work at home full time too…but my fixed expenses and being a single mom force me to have a full time job outside. Plus, there´s my English level…
Livy is really a wonderful cat…
All cats are curious…she knows you blog about her and she just wants to know what your are writing about her…hehe.
Nina has became a bit like Livy but she doesn´t stick her nose in my monitor…she´s my great blogging company as well.
Hugs, Mizé.

I am very happy my cats do not block my computer screen. Spunky prefers to plop on the newspaper when my husband is reading it instead which I think is cute. It’s about the only time she spends with him. Good thing for cats they are so cute or they’d get clobbered for things like this.

Oh so sweet! I hope we’ll be able to have a kitty someday. Not right now with the big dogs though. =)

Grace has to sit on my lap whenever I’m on the computer-and sometimes it just drives me crazy. Oh, the things we do for those kitties!
