The daughter was reading her new book about natural herbs and related this little gem to me:
One day, the Arab mullah Schadelih met a goatherd whose flock was jumping around in an excited fashion. When asked to explain their behavior, the goatherd told the mullah that the animals grew agitated every time they grazed on the leaves and fruit of the coffee bush. Schadelih then ate some of the fruit and immediately became more alert! Later, he accidentally burned some beans. Their excellent flavor convinced him to prepare them in this way in the future. — from Encyclopedia of Herbal Medicine, by Andrew Chevallier
 :frolic:

Life is never dull, and exciting things just seem to always happen to me... why me... when I'm not running around the house fixing things, I'm a freelance writer for national media outlets like USAToday.com, Salon.com, and others. I've even been interviewed by TIME and The Wall Street Journal about blogging. Can you believe it?! Here is where I express my zany, creative, motherly side.

Coffee actually has the reverse effect on me. I get more tired after having it. Maybe it’s the sugar crash? 😯

I don’t think I have the energy for a caffeinated pygmy goat…but they are ADORABLE.
