aka, Spring is Here!
Well, that’s the news according to the stars and planets all situated precisely in the cold, indifferent solar system. Here on planet earth, things are a little messier. But spring is here.
OK, I know we had a couple of inches of snow yesterday. But almost all of it is gone! And spring is sure to come. It always has.
While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. Genesis 8:22
I didn’t mind the snow. I was sorry to see the nice 50 degree temperatures ride off like the wind, though. But to me, spring means mud- lots and lots of mud. I weary of cleaning it, of fretting about my boots as I walk into the house or plant my shoes on the cream-colored cat mat (what nut in their right mind would make cream-colored carpeting for a car?!). I don;t like stepping into the water-logged lawn only to sink into a few inches of mud. Ick. So the snow stopped all the mud for a while, literally froze it in its tracks. And there was not much snow here, not even enough to shovel.
Best of all, the husband re-installed the garden hose outside the other day. That’s a sure sign! I JUST KNOW spring is a-coming. You’ll see.

Life is never dull, and exciting things just seem to always happen to me... why me... when I'm not running around the house fixing things, I'm a freelance writer for national media outlets like USAToday.com, Salon.com, and others. I've even been interviewed by TIME and The Wall Street Journal about blogging. Can you believe it?! Here is where I express my zany, creative, motherly side.

Yea, it really doesn’t look like spring and I’m so anxious about its coming.
