Here is what I have seen:
It is good and fitting for one to eat and drink, and to enjoy the good of all his labor in which he toils under the sun all the days of his life which God gives him; for it is his heritage.
As for every man to whom God has given riches and wealth, and give him power to eat of it, to receive his heritage and rejoice in his labor- this is the gift of God.
Ecclesiastes 5:18-19
When I was younger, I used to work myself into a stressful tizzy during times of extreme busyness. I’d get grouchy, frustrated, and exhausted. A couple of years ago, I stopped everything and asked myself, “What am I doing?!” I like to work, I like to be busy (but not OVER busy, lol!). But why was I allowing all these things that *had* to be done make me so miserable?! I changed my mind. I decided to ENJOY the good life God has given me.
Being a Christian is an absolute blast. There is always something new to do and learn, always a joy and peace that comes from everything being OK between me and God. I don’t have to fight with myself or with circumstances or with anyone else.
I’m glad I did Word For Wednesday. I wasn’t going to do it, because it has been SO crazy busy with appointments, my jobs, my home renovations, inspections, etc etc etc! But even though I am busy and it could overwhelm me and swallow me up at any moment, I can still adjust my mind, take things one at a time, and enjoy this good life. And have PEACE. Who doesn’t want that?

Good advice for those of us who juggle many balls. I hope you take it.
