Friends come and friends go, but a true friend sticks by you like family. Proverbs 18: 24
Isn’t this the truth? A true friend sticks by you like family. They know what a jerk you are sometimes, but they still offer hugs when you are suffering. They know your pains, your weaknesses, your foibles, your sins, your annoying habits. But they also know your dedication to God, your jokes, and your tenderness.
I once heard this saying: A friend is someone who knows you well, but likes you, anyway. LOL! I like that. Even better, there’s this from 1 John 1:7:
But if we live in the light, as God is in the light, we can share fellowship with each other. Then the blood of Jesus, God’s Son, cleanses us from every sin.
Hugs to all my friends! And may I be a true friend for you, too. :awe:

Oh that is one of my MOST FAVORITE VERSES (Proverbs 18:24)! And how appropriate that one of my most favorite bloggy friends should post about it! Love the LOL Cat picture too - priceless!!

Carole, that is amazing that this verse is one of your favorites. Because all the while I was writing it, YOU were one of the people on my mind!! :D That is so cool. You are a good friend, indeed.

It is comforting to know that we are loved despite our faults. Jesus does it perfectly. As a friend I have to work at it sometimes, but I try to share (as much as I am able) the love and grace of Christ with even those folks I don’t much like.

Proverbs 18:24 says, “A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.”
We don’t get to pick our brothers and sisters, but we do choose our friends.
