Oh, gals, do you remember discovering horses at about age 10? It seems that every single little girl LOVES horses at about that age. I used to draw them, paint them, write stories about them- such beautiful creatures! I never did get a horse, never even rode one before. As the years have passed, I thought I was over my weepy-eyed adoration for the critters.
THEN I saw the Super Bowl ad.
:cwy: NOTGONNACRYNOTGONNACRYNOTGONNACRY!!!
:whyohwhy: WAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
*wipes tears*
Isn’t it beautiful?! The little horsy? Trying to be a big guy!! And the big horsies helping him— uh oh—
:whyohwhy: WAHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!
Actually, it’s that dang sappy music that tugs at the heart strings. OH GREAT. Now I’ll probably be a basket case all day, sobbing and bawling over the little bug that got squished in the driveway, or the spotted owls being bullied out of their natural habitat…. ! gah!
But really- aren’t Clydesdales BEAUTIFUL?! They are like precious natural resources. No wonder people have equine horse insurance- you want to be sure you keep the lovely animals healthy. Plus, vet bills for such large animals can be huge. Someone I know had to get rid of her horses- they moved out of the country into suburbia, and while they still could have kept the horse and paid horse insurance, my friend said that “horses are expensive pets.”
Too bad. Cuz I would just love a horse!
How about you? Were you obsessed with horses as a kid? Do you still like them? And did the Super Bowl ad make you bawl like a baby?! :whyohwhy:

I have loved horses my whole life. My aunt raises and trains Quarter Horses so I’ve been brushing them, feeding them, and running around them since I was itty bitty. I had a horse of my own when I was 16 but we weren’t able to keep her. I would love to have horses now that I’m grown but don’t have the room for one. One day though!

In answer to your questions: No, no and no. They are magnificent beasts, however. But visit the stables in summer and let the flies bite you. On second thought, they will bite you anyway.

Um, the music is the only emotion-mover in the video. The horses are cute, but I have yet to cry while watching any video. I am used to the fact that the producers want to get you emotionally involved, and so I generally don’t really get into them. Hence why I am no fan of videos! :D

My mother has an assortment of horses as does my sister. I’ve never really been into them per say. They can stay there and I’m happy being a semi city dweller. Have to have a big yard for the dogs and myself. I do love the Budweiser commercials though and was disappointed this year that they didn’t have a Clydesdale commercial during the superbowl. I’ve come accustomed to seeing one every year.

Aw, come on, Mike! I never used to be a cryer, but really sad movies make me cry.
That was absolutely heart-warming! I saw a lot of the Superbowl ads, but I didn’t see this one. It’s funny how some of the beer commercials are the best ones! LOL
And yes, I love horses, too. I’ve never ridden one, but I will someday. It’s on my bucket-list!
Someday…..

Wahhhhhhh. Stop it!!! I agree-the music set the tone!!! I love horses, too! Nothing like them but don’t think I will ever own one! :-)

Although I didn’t cry, I did think it was really sweet. I like that kind of stuff anyway.
Who didn’t want a horse when they were young??? Growing up in the city, it wasn’t an option.

Gosh I love horses. Yes Clydesdales are absolutely gorgeous.
I will be visiting my foster parents for a foster family reunion (I was in a foster home from age 16-19) and they have horses. I can’t wait to see them. They had horses when I lived there but I never rode them, due to being afraid of heights. I wonder if I will conquer my fears this time!
