HILARIOUS! A guy from Anchorage, Alaska, Bill Powers, built a HUGE snowman in his front yard, and named it Snowzilla. News story here. He built it for his seven kids in his yard, but Snowzilla quickly became a part-tourist attraction/part-freak show. Looks like word got around, and people are driving over to Bill Powers’ neighborhood to see Snowzilla!!
Of course, Mr. Grinch Anchorage government officials don’t like it. Not one bit. So they’ve issued a “cease and desist” order to Mr. Powers, saying Snowzilla is a public menace and a threat! LOL!! This is toooo rich, folks. The town does not like all the traffic and gawkers that Snowzilla is bringing. SHEESH! Where’s the holiday spirit, huh?? I think they don’t like Bill Powers. Watch him in the video. It’s pretty obvious he’s not a “team player” (doesn’t have “herd mentality,” that is) and the town doesn’t like it. If these folks had any gumption, they’d start up little Snowzilla souvenir shops, Snowzilla Ice Slushy concession stands, and sell toboggans with Snowzilla’s picture on them. The town could make a killing! Gee, taxes might even go down!
Powers had started to build the snowman again this year, but was ordered by the government to destroy it, on December 21st. So Powers did.
But then something “magical” happened! Snowzilla seemed to spring up, right out of the snow, overnight on December 23rd! Amazing!
By the way, Bill Powers intends to sue the town for the right to build his snowman. Check out SnowZilla.org. GO BILL GO!

Unbelievable. Obviously, govt. officials in Alaska don’t have enough work to occupy their time.

That’s right, Jean! If they are so darn concerned, and yet so darn idle, then they can spend a happy holiday directing all the traffic Snowzilla is bringing! With the coal that I gave them, they shouldn’t get too cold!! 😀
